Frequently asked questions
Answers about the trial, contract, data and working with your tax adviser.
Trial and contract
How long can I try nimaro for free?
14 days with all features of your chosen plan. On day 11 we remind you by email. If you do not cancel by day 14, the plan is charged monthly from day 15.
Why do I need a payment method for the trial?
So you can keep working without interruption after the trial and do not have to enter anything again. Nothing is charged during the trial; if you cancel before it ends, nothing ever is.
How do I cancel?
With one click in your account or by email. Free during the trial, monthly afterwards.
Data and security
Where is my data stored?
Each customer works in a separate instance. Other customers cannot see your quotes, invoices or receipts.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Before your plan ends you can download invoices, receipts and exports. This matters because Austrian law generally requires you to keep invoices and receipts for seven years.
Tax adviser and annual accounts
Is nimaro a cash register?
No. nimaro is not a cash register. For cash sales in Austria you still need a registered cash register under the RKSV – nimaro handles quotes, invoices, incoming payments and receipts.
In Austria a registered cash register is mandatory from €15,000 annual turnover per business if more than €7,500 of it is received in cash (including card and voucher payments) (§ 131b BAO). Source: Austrian business service portal usp.gv.at; as of 01.11.2026.
Does nimaro replace my tax adviser?
No. nimaro organises invoices and receipts and creates an export. Tax returns and annual accounts remain the job of your tax adviser – or, for a small GmbH, of the owner at their own responsibility.
May I file my GmbH’s annual accounts myself?
The managing director has to file them anyway, electronically with the commercial register court, no later than nine months after the balance sheet date. There is no legal requirement for a small GmbH’s accounts to be signed by a tax adviser. Having them prepared and confirmed by an adviser is still common and safer; if you do it yourself, you are responsible for their accuracy.
Do sole traders need a balance sheet?
Sole traders using cash-basis accounting (Einnahmen-Ausgaben-Rechnung) do not prepare a balance sheet and file nothing with the commercial register. The nimaro export serves as the basis for their accounts.
